Built for a precise fit, the Black Diamond Technician is an ultra-lightweight, durable and highly slip-resistant boot that will take you over rocky approach terrain with ease. With a breathable EnduroKnit upper, the Technician has noticeable temperature regulation and can withstand years of intense use on rocky terrain with ease. The lightweight bootie-style tongue makes it easy to slip off and over on the rock. The mid TPU strap and LaceLock closure ensure a secure fit, while the lacing system all the way to the toes provides a great fit. The Technician's redesigned EVA midsole balances stiffness and comfort. The shoe has the precision needed in challenging terrain, yet can be worn comfortably all day. As the name suggests, the Technician's last is ideal for technical climbing. The non-slip rubber provides edge control and reliable grip in steep, rocky terrain. The webbing loops offer multiple attachment options if you want to stow the shoes at the base of your route. The Technician has a relatively narrow cut compared to traditional athletic shoes. If you are using the Technician for climbing and technical approaches, we recommend the measured Brannock size. If you want a more casual fit or have a wider foot, we recommend a ½ size larger.
