- "The HotForge Bent Gate carabiner is a modernized version of our classic Keylock carabiner and is perfect for the rope side of your quickdraws. The bent gate is super easy to clip in and the particularly large rope contact surface ensures a long service life for the rope and carabiner. Thanks to its hot-forged construction, we were able to reduce the weight of the HotForge by a few grams and at the same time add material where durability is most important. It has a deeper geometry for hanging, while the flat construction on the webbing side ensures that the sling does not twist. The larger rope support surface makes the carabiner more durable and at the same time protects the rope, while the flat areas on the gate reduce accidental opening of the gate. Finally, we have optimized the geometry of the keylock nose to further improve the insertion and removal of the bolts."
