The Shield 2 from Big Agnes is the ideal tent for demanding adventures in the mountains. Whether mountaineering, alpine touring or expeditions, this tent offers reliable protection even in extreme conditions. The single-wall construction allows for quick and easy pitching, while the lightweight but durable Pertex® fabric ensures waterproofness, windproofness and breathability. With a single door secured with a storm flap and two windows that provide both ventilation and shelter, this tent is optimally equipped for all weather conditions.
The design of the Shield 2 includes two roof vents that can be closed from inside the tent and allow ropes to pass through - perfect for secured overnights. The specially developed, ultra-lightweight, waterproof and breathable three-layer construction offers improved moisture management, keeping you dry and comfortable Reinforced tent corners and additional guy points ensure stability, even in strong winds.
Another highlight are the reflective guy ropes and tensioners, which make the tent ready for use. With several inner loops for equipment and four inner mesh pockets, the Shield 2 offers plenty of storage space for your gear. The covered entrance and exit can be extended with the separately available Accessory Vestibule to create additional space. The robust DAC Featherlite NSL pole system and the included Big Agnes Dirt Dagger™ UL tent pegs guarantee stable anchoring.
