"Lightweight and comfortable beanie made from 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. Organically grown cotton is used in these products. The organic production of cotton is more environmentally friendly; however, it is not only beneficial to the environment, but also to the people who are employed in its cultivation. This cotton has been produced without the use of hazardous chemicals. The environmental impact of conventionally grown cotton is immense, as a large amount of water and chemicals are used. Organic cotton is controlled and certified by external organizations such as Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Organic cotton uses less water than conventional cotton and the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers is avoided."
