Sustainable production in the German manufactory

Sustainability as a core principle

Since 1983, Nordisk has hand-crafted its down sleeping bags at its own manufactory in Gorlitz, Germany – the team there brings over 50 years of experience working with outdoor equipment. The down used is certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).

For its water-repellent treatments, Nordisk has set the declared goal of becoming fully PFC-free, and continues working on new, environmentally friendlier impregnations.

Nordisk also offers a repair and washing service: damage is fixed, zippers replaced and down refilled, so products stay in use as long as possible.
