In 1976, Juhani Hyökyvaara, a passionate Finnish outdoor enthusiast, founded Halti with a vision to unite people with nature through the creation of highly functional outdoor gear. Since the 1980s, the company has been a supplier for numerous expeditions to Greenland, the North and South Poles, and the Andes.
Through continual creative product development, Halti has evolved into a comprehensive outdoor brand catering to a diverse array of outdoor activities.
Tested by the professionals
Over the years Halti has sponsored world’s key winter sports events like World Cups and World Championships in Alpine skiing, Cross-Country and Ski Jumping. The brand has also equipped some of the worlds’ top athletes in different winter sports.
Collaboration with professionals has enriched Halti's product development, allowing them to channel technical expertise into the gear used by ski and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.

Sustainable outdoor brand
Halti has come a long way from outdoor equipment supplier to well-known skiwear and outdoor brand with high sustainability standards and targets. At the core of Halti's sustainability efforts lies the Think Ahead sustainable development program established in 2010. Since then, sustainability has been a crucial part of the company's business strategy.
