From an avalanche accident to a backpack with back protector
The Evoc company was founded in 2008. However, its history goes back further. After an avalanche accident in 1999, the then freeride professional Holger Feist had the idea for a backpack with an integrated back protector. The concept of a protector backpack also seemed to make sense for mountain biking.
In 2003 the first working backpack prototype was finally used. At the same time, the idea of a Bike Travel Bag was born after Holger Feist had to pick up his bike in all its parts at the airport during a trip. Both products were initially only produced for his own travels and for friends, until a bicycle shop owner became aware of the bags in 2008.
High quality backpacks and bags
In the search for the best trails and most beautiful powder descents, the company has visited over 50 destinations in the last 20 years. It was difficult to find suitable backpacks and bags that satisfied the demands for functionality, protection and quality. So the Munich-based company started to develop equipment according to their own ideas.
Since 2008, Evoc has been developing high-quality, sporty backpacks, bags and luggage for cycling, mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing, travel and photo equipment with a focus on flawless protection. The materials and protective functions of the protector backpacks and protectors are TÜV certified.
