• LOWA® AL-S V

  The CALCETA EVO GTX Ws is equipped with a LOWA RUBBER OUTSOLE. This is a rubber outsole designed by LOWA with an application-specific tread design made from an optimized rubber compound. The advantage of a rubber outsole is its good grip. Cold, icy or snowy surfaces: no problem for the LOWA® AL-S V. Thanks to the multidirectional edge alignment of the profiles as well as a specially developed winter rubber compound and a light heel edge, a good grip is guaranteed.

• Gore-Tex

  Guaranteed weather protection, even in heavy rain and snow: The CALLISTO GTX MID JUNIOR is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology ensures optimum waterproofness and breathability. Durably waterproof The membrane is reliably waterproof. No matter what adventure you are planning, you can firmly rely on the GORE-TEX technology to keep your feet comfortably dry. High breathability Designed for optimized breathability, GORE-TEX footwear keeps you comfortable even during intense activities. Water cannot penetrate, while water vapor can escape from the inside through the billions of pores in the GORE-TEX membrane. Windproof The GORE-TEX membrane reliably keeps wind and weather out. This makes touring possible in any weather.

• DOUBLE INJECTION

  For effective cushioning and high wearing comfort, the sole of the CALLISTO GTX MID JUNIOR is connected to the upper using a technically complex injection process. For this purpose, the upper shoe is placed in a specially manufactured mold. A PU foam is then inserted into this mold in different layers. This creates the sole, which bonds directly with the upper to form a single unit. Lightness The plastic polyurethane is used in this process. This is a very lightweight foam. Cushioning The plastic polyurethane is a foam that has very good cushioning properties. Even if the millions of small bubbles are frequently compressed, they still retain their shape and bounce back to their original state. This ensures a good rebound effect. Wide range of design options Direct injection allows the sole to be designed in completely different ways. The versatile properties of the materials used thus enable the shoes to be used in a wide range of applications.

• SUPPORT FRAME

  In the BARINA EVO GTX Ws model, the midsole in the form of the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame ensures the best comfort. This is a three-dimensional midsole design developed by LOWA in 1995. This frame comfortably cradles the foot for support on uneven surfaces. In shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME, the sole construction is slightly raised in the process. SUPPORT FRAME rubber outsole Good guidance of the foot The three-dimensional design of the frame ensures that the foot is optimally embedded in the shoe. Increased comfort The special construction of the midsole ensures a comfortable stand in the shoe. The foot is pleasantly embraced by the three-dimensional frame. Lightness The LOWA MONOWRAP® frame is made of polyurethane plastic. This is a very lightweight material.

• LOWA DynaPU®

  The midsole is largely responsible for the rolling behavior and cushioning of a shoe. In the CALLISTO GTX MID JUNIOR, this consists of a specially developed synthetic material: LOWA DynaPU®. The special feature: Even if it is compressed a thousand times, it still retains its restoring force. Thus, the shoes made from it have very good cushioning properties even after many kilometers. Midsole made of LOWA DynaPU® Good comfort The special material development is characterized by good damping properties, which noticeably increases walking comfort and rolling behavior - even over long distances. Good rebound effect The polyurethane plastic is a foam that has very good damping properties. Even if the millions of small bubbles are frequently compressed, they still retain their shape and bounce back to their original state. This provides a good rebound effect. Lightweight The polyurethane plastic is very lightweight foam. Thus, the sole scores with the best wearing comfort.

• WOMEN'S LISTS

  To ensure an optimal fit, the last of the BARINA EVO GTX Ws is specially adapted to the female anatomy. The last is largely responsible for ensuring that the shoe fits well. Since women's feet have a smaller volume, the instep height and the circumference of the ball of the foot, for example, are adjusted.
