The Recon Stretch LT Shell is a lightweight, durable, three-layer jacket that offers reliable protection in search of the best powder. Cut slightly narrower than the Recon Stretch Shell, the Recon Stretch LT Shell combines Black Diamond's waterproof and BD.dry™ solution with a lightweight ripstop fabric to provide an outstanding three-layer combination of durability, protection and minimal weight. The Recon Stretch LT's minimalist feature set includes two backpack-compatible hand pockets that provide enough room for gloves, hat and a headlamp. The ski helmet-compatible hood completes the overall picture and provides additional protection in bad weather.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

BD.Dry 3L
Like the 2.5L fabrics, the BD.dry 3L fabrics also have a DWR coating. Instead of an open-pored inner coating, however, these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to pass through. There is a third layer of jersey on the back of this fabric, which feels pleasant against the skin and wicks moisture away in the form of vapor through the hydrophilic membrane. Water column: 20.000 mm breathability: 20.000 g/m2/24 hrs.
PFC Free DWR
An environmentally friendly, water-repellent coating with high durability and low toxicity, so that the environment is less polluted and your jacket simply repels water.
