The facts at a glance
Salewa Ortles Master Cord 6MM Spool
The high-strength lightweight cord - the new benchmark for alpine climbing or technical mountaineering. The Ortles Master Cord 6MM spool from Salewa impresses with its exceptional breaking strength of over 15 kN, which makes it stronger and lighter than steel and Kevlar. Thanks to the high-strength fibers and UVresistance, it is ideal for demanding outdooractivities such as hiking and mountaineering. The line is static and abrasion-resistant, making it a reliable companion in any situation.
The Mastercord on the 60 meter spool can be flexibly cut to length for various applications, be it for stand construction, intermediate and self-belaying, prusik, pulley or threading hourglasses. A compact roll-topcompression sack is included, making transportation and storage easier. The color-coded Salewa webbing slings and lanyards allow you to quickly identify the correct sling on the harness, which makes handling much safer and easier.
The cords are subject to a uniform color system: Basic colors such as green, blue, red or grey indicate the length of the cords. High-strength materials such as Dyneema or UHMWPE are identified by an additional white component, while nylon and PES cords are indicated by either black or no additional color. Manufactured in Slovakia and certified according to EN 564, the Ortles Master Cord guarantees the highest quality and safety.
