The In-Mold construction combines the outer shell and EPS foam into a lightweight and durable one-piece design that is complemented by zone-based Koroyd® impact protection. This technology ensures lightness, excellent ventilation and optimal energy absorption in the event of an impact.
The Mips® head protection system offers additional protection by absorbing rotational forces in the event of an angled impact, while the AirEvac ventilation system in combination with Smith goggles keeps the lenses fog-free. The VaporFit Snow™ system with a dial for 270-degree-adjustment of the fit ensures maximum comfort. In addition, the removable earmuffs are compatible with audio systems, and the one-hand adjustable ventilation slots allow individual adaptation to changing weather conditions.
The antimicrobial Ionic+® inner lining has an odor-inhibiting effect and keeps you feeling fresh, even during intensive use. With a weight of just 450 g (size M, with and without Mips®) and 10 ventilation slots, the Altus Mips EU is not only lightweight, but also excellently ventilated. Certified according to ASTM F2040 and DIN EN 1077:2007 Class B, this helmet meets the highest safety standards.
