The Ether Light XT Extreme Air Mat Women's from Sea to Summit is the ideal sleeping mat for adventurers who don't want to sacrifice comfort even in cold temperatures. With an impressive R value of 6.3, this mat offers excellent insulation, making it perfect for winter expeditions and chilly nights. The extra-thick mat with a thickness of 10 centimeters, which is achieved by the innovative Ether Light XT Air Spring Cells, ensures a plush sleeping experience and maximum stability.
The dual-density layers of Thermolite insulation, which have a higher density than the unisex model, fill the interior and prevent both heat loss and internal air movement. The lighter, quieter and more durable 30D/40D face fabric with Sea to Summit's liquid extruded lamination ensures reliability and durability, while the antimicrobial treatment of the TPU lamination prevents mold growth inside the mat.
The multifunctional valve and the included Airstream pump bag allow quick and easy inflation, deflation and adjustment of the air so that you always find the optimum comfort. The integrated PillowLock system holds your Sea to Summit Aeros pillow securely in place so that it does not slip. The scope of delivery also includes a practical pack sack that also serves as a pump, a repair kit with six self-adhesive patches and a replacement valve, so that you are prepared for all eventualities.

Technologies and manufacturing processes
THERMOLITE HL-1
Thermolite HL-1 is part of the family of Thermolite materials used in Sea to Summit sleeping bags, sleeping bag liners and sleeping mats. HL-1 high-loft insulation is a fiberfill constructed with a unique 3D crimp of hollow-core and solid fibers that provides excellent, lightweight warmth with superior durability. Thermolite insulation molds into the air-sprung cells of our sleeping mats, preventing convective heat loss from your warm body to the cold ground.INTEGRATED AIRSTREAM
The Airstream Pump Sack is Sea to Summit's high volume mattress pump, which we have now integrated into the pack sack of every Air Sprung Cell mat. The clever design opens at one end to stow the air mattress, and the other end unfolds to be the built-in pump. The Airstream pump bag can be inflated with a single breath and only needs two or three cycles to fill our mats. Not only is this faster than inflating by mouth, but minimal breath condensation enters the mat and there is no dizziness when inflating the mat directly by mouth. The Airstream pump bag is also compatible with Sea to Summit's smaller multifunction valve, which is now included in the updated Aeros cushion range along with the Air Seats.ASTM F3340-18 R-VALUE TESTING
To ensure that you are warm when you sleep (especially if the floor is colder), it is important to know how well your sleeping mat resists heat loss to the floor. This resistance is known as the R-value. A lab-tested R-value is the only way to measure resistance to heat loss. Sea to Summit has always provided independent, lab-tested R-values for its sleeping pads. Since January 2020, we have been using the industry standard ASTM F3340-18 to determine R-values for our mats. There are other factors that determine how well a sleeping pad insulates, but the standardized ASTM R-value test means you can compare the heat loss of sleeping pads from different brands.PILLOW LOCK SYSTEM
The Pillow Lock System consists of self-adhesive Velcro patches that are supplied with all Sea to Summit sleeping mats (from spring 2019). Attached to your sleeping mat, these patches secure your pillow and prevent it from slipping - yet won't catch on clothing or other lightweight fabrics. All Sea to Summit Pillows (from spring 2019) are compatible with this system. Existing pillows can be made Pillow Lock compatible by adding an Aeros pillowcase.
