    Mountain Equipment Kryos Mens Jacket

The Kryos men's jacket from Mountain Equipment is the ideal choice for extreme mountaineers preparing for the toughest and most demanding routes. Designed with feedback from some of the world's best alpinists, this jacket offers the perfect combination of protection, warmth and functionality. The GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® 10D outer fabric is durably highly water repellent and completely windproof, while the FIRESTORMTM construction with GORE-TEX INFINIUMTM outer fabric over the down chambers provides excellent thermal insulation and additional protection against wind and weather.
The hybrid chamber construction, consisting of quilted chambers and bellows chambers, offers optimum heat distribution. With 234g goose down (size L) with a fill power of at least 800 cuin (90/10), the body temperature remains stable even in extreme conditions. The helmet-compatible Super Alpine hood and the Halo collar with a circumferential down chamber at the neck offer additional protection and warmth for the head and neck.
Practical details such as the 2-Wege-Front-Zipper by YKK® with insulated inner cover, two outer pockets with zipper, two chest pockets and two large inner pockets make this jacket an indispensable companion. The GORE-TEX INFINIUMTM 10D inner material on the sleeves, waistband and in the hood provides additional comfort, while the cuffs with elastane hem and the adjustable elastic drawstrings at the waist allow for a customized fit.

    Technologies and manufacturing processes

    • Down 800

Down 800 is our highest quality down from Western Russia. It comes from geese, contains at least 90% down, has a fillpower of at least 800 cuin and is DOWN CODEX® certified.
    • Down Codex

The DOWN CODEX® is more than a collection of rules - it is a promise that the down in all our products is sourced in compliance with the strictest animal welfare guidelines. Supply chains are 100% transparent and the quality of down batches is viewable and traceable online.
    • Fair Wear

Mountain Equipment has been a member of the non-profit organization "Fair Wear Foundation" since 2012 and is thus committed to implementing the highest standards for socially just working conditions in all operating and production facilities.
    • Firestorm

The FIRESTORM™ construction takes advantage of quilted down chambers (good mobility and light weight). On top is a separate GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ outer layer for even more protection from wind and weather.
    • GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER®

GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® products are used when a good compromise between protection and breathability is required rather than maximum weather protection. They are windproof, highly breathable and offer sufficient protection against light rain or snowfall.
