The North Face Assault Futurelight Bivy

The Assault bivy sack plays to its strengths when every gram counts - and when it comes to survival. And not about deep sleep. It is made of FUTURELIGHT™, The North Face's breathable and waterproof technology. The rectangular cut bivy sack also accommodates boots and backpack when space is tight and a bivy is vital. The interior carbon rods ensure you won't get claustrophobic inside. And the two-way zipper provides ventilation. This bivy sack is a surprisingly roomy lifesaver.

Care instructions

  • CHECK YOUR TENT BEFORE CLEANING: Proper cleaning and storage of your tent will help it last longer. Before you put your tent in storage, break it down and inspect it. Look for damage, torn seams, broken zippers, holes or mold.
  • CLEAN WITH SPONGE: After looking at your tent, clean all dust and dirt stains with a sponge, mild soap and lukewarm water. Rinse with a clean, wet sponge. Let the tent dry thoroughly before taking it down. Do not soak or machine wash your tent.
  • STORE LOOSELY IN A COOL, DRY PLACE: Store the tent loose in a large cotton bag or cardboard box in a cool, dry place. Be sure to wipe down the poles with a sponge or towel. Salt can cause them to corrode, and dirt on the poles stored with the tent can cause mold.
  • Aftercare of the tent: Spray your tent with a UV-blocking spray from time to time to protect it from sun damage and peeling of the outer tent.
  • Dry before packing: To prevent mold and mildew from forming, make sure your tent is completely dry before packing it away. Also, make sure the elastic cords in the poles are dry before you put it away.
