The Puez Knit Mid Powertex is designed to provide a smooth ride and long-lasting comfort for short and extended mountain tours on uneven trails and varied terrain. The mid-height upper of the boot is made from abrasion-resistant knitted nylon and ripstoppolyester. It is reinforced with an attached toe cap and all-round rubber abrasion protection with a PFC-free, waterproof and breathable Powertex® membrane.Long-lasting comfortThe special trekking last, the double EVA midsole with graduated stiffness and softer heel cushioning for an optimized step and the recycled, adaptable CFF footbed with volume reducer ensure more comfort and a custom fit.Advanced & functionalThe Puez Knit Mid Powertex is equipped with a Pomoca™ Alpine Trekker outsole that provides grip and traction on technical terrain. At the heart of the construction is the new Salewa Edging Plate II integrated into the insole, a special thermoplastic frame that runs the entire length of the shoe. It offers a combination of improved flex and rebound performance for long-lasting comfort and graduated stiffness and flexibility at the forefoot and heel for targeted stiffness and more stability. In addition, the proven Salewa 3F system with Kevlar® laces ensures a supportive ankle hold and maximum stability in the midfoot area. This is also supported by the climbing lacing, which extends to the toes.Circular economy & sustainabilityThe Alpine Hemp midsole in the forefoot area was developed according to a circular manufacturing concept that uses recycled hemp waste and new hemp and reduces the use of new EVA. This manufacturing method saves resources and offers a sustainable perspective without compromising on performance and function. We apply the same concept to the sustainable laces, combining alpine hemp with recycled polyester in this model.This trekking boot bears the Salewa Committed logo and meets Salewa's strict criteria for additional sustainability and environmentally friendly manufacturing.
