Lightweight, technical and agileThe Ortles Light Mid Powertex is a mid-cut mountaineering boot for women who want to move quickly and safely on demanding tours on rock, ice, snow and mixed terrain. Thanks to the lightweight, technical construction, the mountaineering boot covers a wide range of uses: from rocky terrain to demanding activities in snow and ice. The Pomoca Alpine Light outsole with its robust tread pattern ensures ideal grip and traction on both rocky and wet, slippery surfaces. Meanwhile, the cushioning EVA midsole ensures a high level of comfort - which is particularly noticeable on long mountain days. The ankle protection encloses the foot, provides stability and protects against rock and scree. Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines a TPU inner shell, which offers a perfect balance of flexibility and stiffness when climbing, with a crampon-compatible heel stabilizer that provides improved grip on rocky terrain. Our specially developed 3F system also increases stability in the heel area, while the Multi Fit Foodbed Plus (MFF+) enables individual adjustment for even more comfort. The robust nylon upper material is reinforced with high-strength and abrasion-resistant TPU seams and TPU coating, as well as a protective rubber rand. The overall weight and material thickness have nevertheless been kept as low as possible. The elastic gaiter keeps dirt and small stones out. This waterproof mountain boot has a PFC-free Powertex membrane. The shoe is characterized by a low ecological footprint - and is the first shoe to be part of the Salewa Committed collection, whose products are manufactured according to our additional environmental and sustainability standards.The Ortles Light Mid Powertex is Salewa's lightest, technical mountaineering shoe for demanding, fast undertakings on the mountain.
