Salewa Ortles Light Mid Powertex M

Mountaineering at higher altitudes, where ice-, snow- and combined passages alternate, not only place the highest demands on Salewa's skills, but also on Salewa's equipment. We developed the Ortles Light Mid Powertex especially for mountaineers who want to move quickly in this terrain. The lightweight, comfortable Mid-Cut mountaineering boot is extremely technical and agile at the same time - and thus covers a wide range of uses: from rocky terrain to demanding routes in snow and ice. The Pomoca Alpine Light outsole provides improved grip and traction on a variety of terrain, while the cushioning EVA midsole guarantees a high level of comfort during fast-paced activities. The ankle protection encloses the foot, provides stability and protects against rock and scree. Salewa's new Edging Plate 2 technology combines high rigidity, which improves edge stability and precision when climbing, with a balanced flex and good roll-off behavior for high comfort when walking. In addition, the heel stabilizer, which also allows crampons to be attached, provides improved grip in rocky terrain. Our specially developed 3F system increases support and stability in the heel area, while the Multi Fit Foodbed Plus (MFF+) and the 3D Lacing lacing system enable individual lacing and adjustment for even more comfort. On the outside, a hard-wearing nylon fabric with high-strength and abrasion-resistant TPU seams and TPU film/covering is used, as well as a protective rubber edge - while keeping the overall weight and material thickness as low as possible. The elastic gaiter keeps dirt and small stones out. This waterproof mountain boot has a PFC-free Powertex membrane, laces made from recycled materials and other recycled components. The Ortles Light Mid Powertex is therefore characterized by a low ecological footprint - and is the first shoe to be part of the Salewa Committed Collection. The Ortles Light Mid Powertex is Salewa's lightest, technical mountaineering boot for demanding, fast undertakings on the mountain.
