Reliable ProtectionThe Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive hiking boot with a mid-cut upper, a rugged, premium suede and stretch upper and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that provides you with reliable protection on a variety of terrain and in changeable conditions. A generous rubber rand provides additional protection from rock edges and scree. Adaptable and comfortable The shoe offers a precise fit, securely encloses your foot, provides support and is comfortable the first time you put it on. Our proprietary, patented 3F System incorporates a steel cable and provides firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar gives the ankle more room to move backward and increases comfort on the descent. In addition, with the customizable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) you can choose between different insoles and thus adjust the shoe volume to you. The climbing shoe lacing system also allows you to tighten individually all the way to the toes - for better performance on technical terrain. Improved grip and adhesion The optimized Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, offered only by SALEWA®, improves performance and control on a wide variety of mountain terrain. With its special climbing, adhesion and braking zones and aggressive lug design, it also excels in wet and muddy conditions.
