The Salewa Alpinist Walk is a versatile, robust strap-on crampon made of stainless steel, ideal for technical ice climbing, mixed routes and mountaineering. The 3Dcarbon steel frame construction is characterized by a strong, lightweight design and features a front basket with soft binding that can be attached to boots without toeor heel rand. The horizontal front toes provide reliable grip and load transfer on steep ice and horizontal rock edges, while the ergonomic rolling motion enables efficient forward movement.
The geometry of the spikes and the semi-aggressive secondary spikes offer better grip on ice and snow. Additional spikes in the midfoot area ensure extra safety on icy ridges. In addition to the strong and lightweight (795 grams) design, this universal crampon stands out with its unique, length-adjustable straps - no more loose ends! This important innovation drastically reduces the risk of tripping. The curved, studded anti-balling plates cover the entire underside, minimizing clumping of snow.
Another highlight is the user-friendly adjustment without tools, which makes it easy to adjust the crampon on the go. The soft 3Fsystem binding ensures a flat fit and the front binding attached to the inside of the iron protects against abrasion. This crampon is compatible with mountaineering shoe sizes from 235 to 330 mm and thus offers a wide adaptability for different foot sizes.
