W's Torrentshell Pants
The torrentshells do exactly what you expect from minimalist rainwear: they keep you dry in continuous rain as well as in a downpour, are breathable and have no frills too much. These H2No™ Performance Standard rain pants are made of 2.5-ply laminate with ripstop nylon (now 100% recycled), DWR (durable water repellent) impregnation and a waterproof/breathable membrane. They have a simple slip-on construction with an elastic drawcord in the waistband and cut knees. The water-repellent side zippers reach down to the thigh to combine best ventilation and comfortable putting on over the boots. Further details: two zipper pockets (the left one serves as a packing bag with a carabiner loop) and partially elastic cuffs with adjustable snap fasteners.
