Patagonia M's Pataloha Shirt

More than 70 years ago, a unique shirt made of hand-printed Kabe crepe was created in a small tailor shop in Honolulu. It perfectly embodied the spirit of its homeland and later became known as the Hawaiian Shirt. Its popularity grew rapidly. It soon became socially acceptable on the islands and was worn on all but the most formal occasions. Our redesigned Pataloha™ shirt is made of 100% organic cotton in dobby weave with a linen-like texture. This season's prints are inspired by malama 'aina, the traditional Hawaiian way to protect and care for the land. The shirt has a notched collar, coconut buttons, a left breast pocket and a straight hem with side slits for cooling comfort in the sultry summer heat. The prints on the pocket and button placket are perfectly coordinated. With its more traditional cut it is a real collector's item in Hawaiian tradition and fits everywhere where there is something to celebrate.
