Access to the main compartment is provided by an integrated, asymmetrical protective cover that also functions as a lid and can be opened wide and closed with one handle for quick packing. The high-density foam back padding stabilizes the backpack, supports heavy loads and is removable for tours with light luggage. The ergonomic shoulder straps (with position adjustment straps) adjust to the body to provide 24-hour comfort; the hip belt has removable pads. Two eyelet straps create a variety of options for fastening the rope, helmet and mat. Further details: compression straps to secure the load and to attach skis, an asymmetric profile for maximum elbow room and a zipper lid pocket for quick access to important small items.
