It convinces through the consistent use of sustainable materials. On the outside, the oiled nubuck leather from the Heinen manufactory provides natural weather protection. The certified Terracare® leather comes from German cattle and is tanned and processed in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. The inner lining is also made of leather; it has been tanned chrome-free and ensures a pleasant wearing comfort and good foot climate inside the shoe. An insulation layer made of the innovative PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend fiber keeps feet warm. The fibre consists of 30 % kapok and 70 % polyester, with approx. 2/3 coming from recycled PET bottles. The fruits of the kapok tree contain fluffy fine fibres that look like cotton wool and are also known as plant down. This renewable raw material offers excellent heat storage and ensures that moisture is transported to the outside. The shoe collar also has it in itself. It is made of QMilk felt, which is made by extracting fibres from milk and processing them with wool to form a felt. The finishing with QMilk fibre gives the felt a soft feel and also has antibacterial properties in direct contact with the skin. Due to the grippy profile sole, the shoe offers you good grip and high walking comfort in the terrain. Here too, we have minimized the use of resources by using 30% recycled rubber to manufacture the sole.
