  VAUDE uses only the highest quality down fillings. For our down sleeping bags we obtain down from Europe, country of origin Poland. The proportions of the individual fillings refer to the percentage of down to support feathers of the total weight of the filling. The quality of the down is expressed by its fillpower (cu.in), measured at VAUDE according to the European standard DIN EN 12130. The higher the fillpower in cu.in, the better the thermal performance of the product.VAUDE has a clear commitment: Es wird ausschließlich Daune von geschlachteten Tieren verwendet, die nicht lebendig gerupft wurden oder für die vermeintliche kulinarische Spezialität "Foie Gras"gezüchtet wurden. Alle Daunenlieferanten von VAUDE bestätigen die Einhaltung dieser Bedingungen.

  All our down sleeping bags are equipped with chamber construction. They divide the sleeping bag filling into several chambers and thus prevent possible migration of the down. The simplest construction here is the H-chamber construction.

• Mummy

  The best known form of sleeping bags. The mummy cut is characterized by its conical shape: the sleeping bags become narrower towards the feet. Due to their body-hugging cut, they minimize the air that needs to be warmed up and are particularly heat efficient. The cut means that less material is used than with other shapes. This makes the sleeping bags lighter than other cuts with comparable thermal performance and smaller compressible.
