The vest's synthetic insulation won't lose its effectiveness even in damp conditions. Its durable nylon shell has a water-repellent finish that will come in handy when hiking in Europe. The vest compresses well and can even be stowed in its own pocket. In addition, both the fabric and the insulation are made entirely from recycled polyester, so that less plastic ends up in landfills.
