The new Ortles Alpine Merino jacket is named after one of the most popular summit destinations in the Eastern Alps: the 3905-meter Ortler - the highest peak in South Tyrol. It is precisely for such alpine (ski)high tours that we have developed the lightweight, breathable Hybrid fleece jacket. The athletically cut jacket was designed according to the bodymapping principle, so that different parts of the body can be supplied with exactly the right material. As the main material Salewas Alpine Merino Fleece is used, which is particularly warm as well as fast drying and has a high wearing comfort. Thanks to the high elastane content, the material impresses with a four-way stretch. For additional weather protection, the robust, wind-resistant Durastretch outer material is equipped with a PFC-free DRW impregnation (Durable Water Repellent) on the front and shoulders. The ergonomic design guarantees high freedom of movement - especially during demanding ventures on ice, classic mountaineering or ski mountaineering. To protect against abrasion or tears, extra abrasion-resistant Polarlite Wool inserts with durable Cordura® are located on the shoulders and sleeves. Meanwhile, the high collar with soft lining as well as the cuffs with integrated thumb loops score points in wind and cold. In the two large chest pockets with zippers, small items can be safely stowed away.
