Natural wool meets an innovative smart material Under the extremely lightweight shell material - ripstop nylon with a durable water-repellent DWR finish - the Catinaccio has a continuous insulation of TirolWool® Responsive (80g). This means you're surrounded by a comfortably warming, water-repellent shell that won't weigh you down with unnecessary weight. For TirolWool® Responsive we use wool from Tyrolean sheep that live in high mountain conditions. It contains a lot of lanolin (the natural water-repellent wax that sheep use to protect their skin from rain). In addition, we have used Salewa's proprietary Responsive Technology. This is based on thermoreactive minerals that absorb and gradually release the body's infrared energy. This makes you perform better and recover faster.
