Our goal was to develop a down jacket for the mountains with our best warmthweightratio yet. We set to work combining advanced, heat-retaining TILT technology with the lightest, strongest fabrics we could find and utilizing the unbeatable warmth-to-weight ratio of goose down. We also maximized performance with different chambers. Lightweight, quilted-through chambers on the arms and hood provide better freedom of movement, and boxwallchambers on the torso ensure that the down can puff out fully and trap as much warmth as possible. The chambers are staggered, which distributes the down evenly around the torso and prevents cold spots.After intensive research and development, we found that positioning the TILT layer as close to the body as possible maximizes heat retention. This heat-reflective layer gives the Mythic Ultra jacket noticeably better thermal efficiency, welcome warmth when ice climbing and on frosty summits. To keep weight to a minimum, we have used a 100% recycled ultralight 10D outer fabric. This Pertex® Quantum material with integrated ripstop is robust, durable, weatherproof and soft to the touch.The jacket was developed for alpinists and mountaineers, has a helmet-compatible hood, a two-way front zipper for use with a climbing harness and practical pre-shaped sleeves for climbing.
