It is designed to make your ski trips uncomplicated. The rear opening allows you to easily access all your gear, easing transitions from ascent, to climbing, to descent. The removable helmet holder secures your helmet to the outside of the pack, leaving more room inside for gear, and all zippers are designed with mitten-friendly sliders for quick access on windswept peaks.All Rabs Khroma backpacks are equipped with a quick-access avalanche gear pocket. The pack features a two-way zipper with bright orange slider designed to always close in the same position - so you know exactly where to find it in an emergency. The shovel handle and avalanche probe store neatly in separate compartments, and the shovel slides into place at the top.We've reinforced Rab's already tough Cordura nylon with Spectra® Ripstop and added a waterproof HydroShield finish. This finish makes the Khroma 22 highly abrasion and tear resistant and weatherproof. It is equipped with the X-SHIELD™ carrying system that keeps the pack close to your back so you have freedom of movement both on the ascent and on the descent, ensuring total stability on technical descents.
