In particularly stressed areas we have equipped these pants with elastic stretch nylon and ripstop nylon - especially in the buttocks and knee area. These materials provide extremely high tear and abrasion resistance. The blend of DWR nylon and polyester fabric also provides great elasticity and quick drying, if you do get wet while hiking or climbing.
