  Waste from Sicilian agriculture, in particular orange peel and cactus leaves, is collected while the plants are preserved. These organic materials are then mixed with recycled plastic. Several tests have been carried out to measure its resistance to abrasion, heat, exposure to light and humidity. It can last for 10 to 20 years.

  According to a study by the supplier, the production of 1 m² of this material emits 3 kg of CO2, compared to 61 kg of CO2 for animal leather.
