• VIBRAM ARCTIC GRIP TRAC® II

  The NABUCCO GTX Ws model is equipped with a Vibram Arctic Grip sole. This is a state-of-the-art sole technology. The sole is a special rubber compound that is designed for high performance and quality. The concept of the sole is aimed at good grip on snowy surfaces. The large tread lugs, their arrangement and the Vibram rubber compound are key to why the VIBRAM ARCTIC GRIP TRAC® II is so well suited to winter conditions. It has everything it takes to do so. For this purpose, models with this sole are equipped with a direct-injected midsole made of LOWA DynaPU®.

• Gore-Tex

  Guaranteed weather protection, even in heavy rain and snow: The CALLISTO GTX MID JUNIOR is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology ensures optimum waterproofness and breathability. Durably waterproof The membrane is reliably waterproof. No matter what adventure you are planning, you can firmly rely on the GORE-TEX technology to keep your feet comfortably dry. High breathability Designed for optimized breathability, GORE-TEX footwear keeps you comfortable even during intense activities. Water cannot penetrate, while water vapor can escape from the inside through the billions of pores in the GORE-TEX membrane. Windproof The GORE-TEX membrane reliably keeps wind and weather out. This makes touring possible in any weather.

• SUPPORT FRAME

  In the BARINA EVO GTX Ws model, the midsole in the form of the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame ensures the best comfort. This is a three-dimensional midsole design developed by LOWA in 1995. This frame comfortably cradles the foot for support on uneven surfaces. In shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME, the sole construction is slightly raised in the process. SUPPORT FRAME rubber outsole Good guidance of the foot The three-dimensional design of the frame ensures that the foot is optimally embedded in the shoe. Increased comfort The special construction of the midsole ensures a comfortable stand in the shoe. The foot is pleasantly embraced by the three-dimensional frame. Lightness The LOWA MONOWRAP® frame is made of polyurethane plastic. This is a very lightweight material.

• SINGLE INJECTION

  The MERGER GTX LO Ws is a shoe in which the outsole is directly molded to the shoe. This method of production creates a highly precise and very strong connection between the sole and the upper. Lightness This process uses the plastic polyurethane. This is a very lightweight foam. Cushioning The plastic polyurethane is a foam that has very good cushioning properties. Even if the millions of small bubbles are frequently compressed, they still retain their shape and bounce back to their original state. This ensures a good rebound effect. Wide range of design options Direct injection allows the sole to be designed in completely different ways. The versatile properties of the materials used thus enable the shoes to be used in a wide range of applications.

• LOWA DynaPU®

  The midsole is largely responsible for the rolling behavior and cushioning of a shoe. In the CALLISTO GTX MID JUNIOR, this consists of a specially developed synthetic material: LOWA DynaPU®. The special feature: Even if it is compressed a thousand times, it still retains its restoring force. Thus, the shoes made from it have very good cushioning properties even after many kilometers. Midsole made of LOWA DynaPU® Good comfort The special material development is characterized by good damping properties, which noticeably increases walking comfort and rolling behavior - even over long distances. Good rebound effect The polyurethane plastic is a foam that has very good damping properties. Lightweight The polyurethane plastic is very lightweight foam. Thus, the sole scores with the best wearing comfort.
