Functional clothing redefined

X-Bionic was founded over 20 years ago with the question why there are so many further developments in many areas such as the automotive industry, but not in the sportswear sector. Starting with a sock, the Swiss company's range now includes everything an athlete's heart desires. From jogging and cycling to winter sports, X-Bionic has developed functional clothing that provides optimum support for the athlete. With X-Socks, X-Bionic also produces its own sock collection. Sophisticated aerodynamics, dynamic stabilisers, maximum cooling performance and flow-optimised surfaces are reflected in every X-Bionic design.

Development of special technologies

With over 700 patents, X-Bionic has developed many technologies that the manufacturer uses in its products. Two stand out in particular: the 3D Bionic Sphere System® with ThermoSyphon® technology and the Air-Conditioning Channel®.

The 3D Bionic Sphere System® with ThermoSyphon® technology optimizes the body's heat regulation. The optimal body temperature is 37°C. For many athletes the body wastes energy to maintain this temperature. For cooling, the body produces sweat. If this disappears from the skin, cooling is also lost. The system used by X-Bionic regulates the temperature by means of sweat: it warms when you freeze and cools when you sweat. In this way, energy reserves are retained which improve the athlete's performance. The ThermoSyphon® technology enhances the effect by additionally improving cooling and climate control.

The Air-Conditioning Channel® in the chest area additionally provides fresh air circulation. The Air-Conditioning Channel® system is optimal for effective and rapid air conditioning without cold spreading through the body. Moisture is also effectively drawn out of the sweat zones and transported away.

The materials of the products are also carefully selected

Selected materials

In addition to special technologies, X-Bionic also uses selected materials in its products. Besides merino wool and silk, the manufacturer also uses Xitan® and Xitanit®. Xitan® is just as non-slip and comfortable to wear as cotton, but eliminates the disadvantages of the natural material. The material is softer, lighter, hardly absorbs any water and yet is still highly breathable. Xitanit®, on the other hand, ensures optimum sweat management due to its bacteriostatic properties through silver ions.
