The facts at a glance
Smith Altus Mips Eu
A lightweight helmet with MIPS® protection and excellent ventilation for skiers and snowboarders, fully adjustable for comfort.
The Smith Altus Mips Eu is the ideal companion for anyone who loves skiing, snowboarding, or freeskiing. This helmet combines a lightweight in-mold construction with a rugged outer shell and energy-absorbing EPS foam, making it durable and comfortable. Zonal KOROYD® technology provides additional impact protection and ensures excellent ventilation. The integrated MIPS® Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces during oblique impacts to the head, though some color options are also available without this system.
The Altus Mips Eu is equipped with the VaporFit adjustment system, which allows for 270-degree fit adjustment with a simple turn of a dial. This ensures the helmet always fits perfectly, whether on the slopes or off-piste. Additional comfort is provided by the removable, audio-compatible ear pads and the antimicrobial Ionic+® lining, which offers sweat-activated odor control. With 10 vents and one-handed climate control, ventilation can be easily adjusted to current weather conditions.
The helmet is designed for optimal integration with Smith goggles, and the AirEvac system ensures fog-free lenses. Weighing just 450 g in size M, the helmet is lightweight enough for extended tours while still offering the protection and comfort you need for your outdoor adventures. Certified to ASTM F 2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B, it meets all required safety standards.
