"What makes it so special? In the early stages of development, this garment was nicknamed u201eThe Orangeu201c. Why? The brief to Houdini's design team was to develop a fully waterproof, easily foldable shelljacket that was no bigger than an orange when folded. The idea is that you can always pack this jacket in your backpack and be prepared for any unexpected mountain weather. Full weather protection in an incredibly lightweight and compact form u2013 that's The Orange Jacket. How does it work? The idea of The Orange Jacket for men is to make it easier for you to wear other garments. Let's not kid ourselves: if you're going for a run, hike, ski tour or long climb, a waterproof jacket is rarely the most comfortable option(you usually want to maximize breathability). Nevertheless, you should never go out in unpredictable mountain weather without it. That's why we have developed a fully waterproof shelljacket that you can take with you without much effort and still always be ready when bad weather approaches. And when it comes down to it, the ultra-light, soft and quiet fabric ensures a high level of comfort. What functions does it have? The Orange Jacket for men is a minimalist jacket. To save weight and volume, we have not added any additional functions other than the essentials. A chest pocket and a hood that can be rolled down. The main function of the garment is the concept and how it feels to wear it. This is no ordinary shell jacket, but a completely new kind of ultra-lightweight suppleness that you will hardly feel you are wearing, but that will still keep you dry in any storm. When should I wear it? The Orange Jacket for men was developed for mountain sports where weight and pack size are important: cross-country skiing, ski touring, mountaineering or tradclimbing. If you have it in your backpack, you won't know it's there, and when the weather gets rough, it will keep you dry and happy. The jacket is of course also suitable as a super light and comfortable rain jacket for all times when you are not chasing through the mountains. The Orange Jacket is made from recycled and recyclable polyester, which enables a circular product lifecycle where nothing ever goes to waste.
