The facts at a glance
Hanwag Makra Pro Low Bunion GTX
The Makra Pro Low Bunion GTX from Hanwag is the ideal companion for demanding mountain sports enthusiasts who don't want to compromise on comfort and functionality. Specially developed for men with hallux valgus, this approach shoe offers more space in the big toe joint area thanks to the unique bunion last. This not only ensures optimum comfort, but also an excellent fit that leaves nothing to be desired, even on longer tours.
This versatile shoe is characterized by its ability to master a wide variety of terrain - be it on asphalt paths, through forests and meadows or over stony scree fields. The exclusive Vibram "Makra outsole" provides excellent grip, while the lightweight EVA cushioning in the forefoot offers precision and stability with every step. The combination of PU and EVA in the midsole guarantees perfect cushioning, supported by a reinforced PUfoam wedge in the heel area, which ideally promotes the rolling motion.
Another highlight is the optimized Ghilly lacing, which extends to the toe area and thus ensures a firm hold. The waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane provides reliable protection from the wet, while the robust Perwanger upper leather ensures breathability and durability. Weighing just 940 g per pair in size 8, the Makra Pro Low Bunion GTX offers a perfect balance between lightness and stability, ideal for approaches and via ferratas.
