Carabiners and quickdraws are an essential part of any climbing equipment, as they are used to secure yourself on the rock or climbing wall and to prevent you from falling. It is important to make sure that the carabiners are designed for climbing, i.e. that they are particularly light and robust, as well as having a high load-bearing capacity. As a counterpart, there are also material carabiners with which various climbing equipment can be attached to the climbing harness, but which are not suitable for safety.
