Sport in summer

Our sunny tips

SummerFit: the best sports for warm days

Summer at last! The bright sunshine and warm temperatures lure us outside into the fresh air to enjoy the fantastic weather and nature around us. If you like to exercise, now is the perfect opportunity to try out a whole range of sports outside instead of hiding away in stuffy gyms. We introduce you to our favorite summer sports.

Off into the cool water

Sport is even more fun in a team.

When temperatures climb above 25 degrees, there's nothing better than cooling off in the water. But instead of just splashing around, you can also make cooling off a bit more fun: You can explore the river or lake in more detail on a stand-up paddleboard or while kayaking, and you can really put your sporting skills to the test with windsurfing.

Team sports on the beach

If you prefer to stay dry, you can try your hand at beach volleyball or badminton. The soft sand not only cushions your fall during particularly daring maneuvers, but also provides an additional training session. A few quick games of spikeball, for example, are also great fun in a small space.

Experience nature

Whether alone or with the family - a bike ride in summer is always fun.

Forests and parks also show their best side in summer. Just put on your running shoes and breathable running clothes and enjoy the nature around you. Trail running is a little more challenging, as it involves running over rough terrain and sometimes uphill. But with the right shoes and enough to drink, it becomes a unique experience. Those seeking peace and quiet, on the other hand, will feel particularly at home on hiking trails through the countryside. With a comfortable pair of hiking boots, functional clothing and a rucksack full of drinks and snacks, you're ready to set off.

Out and about on two wheels

Cycling is not only a great way to train your stamina, but also to explore the surrounding countryside. The basic equipment here naturally includes a helmet, comfortable clothing and a bike light for when it gets darker. For longer tours, we also recommend a large water bottle and repair equipment if necessary.
