ZipIn!: combine jackets
Items with the ZipIn! feature zip into each other: a fleece, insulated jacket or gilet on the inside, the waterproof jacket on the outside. Two pieces become one warmer jacket, and each can still be worn on its own. You'll find this noted in the product details.
Warranty: 5 instead of 2 years
Schöffel gives a 5-year warranty on many items from the 2025 winter collection onwards. The conditions: the item carries the warranty tag, and you register it within 3 months of purchase. According to Schöffel, registering later is not possible.
Short and long sizes
Besides regular sizes, Schöffel offers its own short and long sizes, for example on hiking trousers such as the Folkstone. A short size is half the regular one: men's 50 becomes 25, women's 38 becomes 19. According to the size chart, your height is the main factor in which range fits.

How do I wash my Schöffel jacket?
Follow the care label. For jackets such as Cascata, Yew and Pontre, the product details state 30 °C, usually on a delicate cycle. Use a detergent for technical clothing without fabric softener, then reproof the jacket and activate the treatment with heat.
How waterproof are the hiking jackets?
According to Schöffel, Yew and Cascata have a hydrostatic head of 20,000 mm, and the seams are fully taped. The Cascata with its 3-layer membrane is more breathable: 20,000 g/m² in 24 hours, while the Yew manages 10,000.
Are the Pontre ski trousers insulated?
No. The Ski Pants Style Pontre are 2-layer trousers without insulation. You control how warm they are with the layer you wear underneath.
Does the warranty also apply when I buy from SportFits?
Yes, if the item is new and carries the warranty tag. Your invoice is sufficient proof of purchase for the registration.
Does Schöffel also repair items after the warranty?
Yes. Schöffel's Service Factory also repairs damage outside the warranty, based on a price list. Send photos to customer service first; according to Schöffel, the repair usually takes 10 working days.

Hestad
Hestad are the sporty hiking trousers with 4-way stretch, pre-shaped knees and an elastic waistband. For women they also come as lightweight tights and as 3/4 tights.
Skin Pants
Skin Pants are cycling underpants with a 3D seat pad, worn under your cycling shorts. They differ in the pad: the 4h has an 11 mm two-layer pad, the 8h a 12 mm three-layer one.
Style Yew
The Yew is the hiking rain jacket with a 2-layer VENTURI membrane. It has ZipIn!, so you can zip in an insulated gilet such as the Yew vest.
Style Cascata
According to Schöffel, Cascata is the line for hikes with lots of movement. The jacket vents through underarm zips, the trousers have 4-way stretch and a warming inner face.
Style Pontre
Pontre is the ski line with 4-way stretch and mesh-lined ventilation zips. The jacket is lightly insulated with 40 g, the trousers have removable braces.
Style Refoca
Refoca is the line for winter hiking with long breaks in the cold. The 3-in-1 jacket combines a waterproof outer jacket with a zip-out inner jacket that you can also wear on its own.
