Guarantee and repairs

If a part fails prematurely, such as a zip or a seam, Houdini's own guarantee says it will repair it free of charge or send spare parts. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Other damage Houdini repairs for a reasonable price.

Care: air it, wash it cold

Houdini recommends airing garments more often than washing them. When you do wash, use cold water and no fabric softener: according to Houdini, softener reduces moisture transport and breathability. Then hang to dry. No tumble dryer.

Finding the right size

Houdini uses international sizes (INT). According to the size chart, chest circumference counts for jackets and tops, lower hip for trousers. How a garment fits is stated on the product: the Power Houdi has a slim cut, the One Parka II a wide one.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Rollercoaster and Ride?

Both are made from Dawnbreak 3L Hardshell, which Houdini describes as waterproof, breathable and stretchy. Rollercoaster is equipped for ski touring and deep snow: the bib trousers have harness-compatible side zips and reinforced inner legs to guard against steel edges. Ride is simpler.

Do the hoods fit over a ski helmet?

On the Rollercoaster Jacket II and Ride Jacket II, yes. According to Houdini, you can adjust the Rollercoaster hood with one hand, even wearing gloves.

Power Houdi or Power Up Houdi?

The Power Houdi has a slim fit. The Power Up Houdi and Power Up Jacket, made from the same fabric, are cut looser, leaving room for another layer underneath. Instead of a hood, the Power Up Jacket has a high collar.

Does the Aero Houdi keep out rain?

No. Power Air Active is not water-repellent. In wet weather, wear a shell over it.

Why merino as a base layer?

According to Houdini, pure merino wool helps regulate body temperature, stays fresh for longer and keeps you warm even when damp. Desoli is unblended, with no synthetic fibres at all.
