A well-known recipe for Houdini products: take a classic product, add a pinch of extra functionality and smartness - et voilá. The parka as such was designed by the USmilitary and celebrated its entry into the fashion world in the British subculture. In Houdini's contemporary version, we have dispensed with the lining and created a version made of weatherproof hardshell. So you can use it all year round without overheating too much in summer. If you want to wear it in winter, you can layer it with a warmer base layer. The Houdini Add-in Jacket, for example, is the perfect jacket to wear under the One Parka II and is specially designed for this purpose. The One Parka II is made from Mission Hardshell, a robust, breathable and waterproof shell-material. It is made from recycled and recyclable polyester. The material can withstand years of hard use and works on rainy days in the city as well as in bad weather on the mountain. The membrane and the water-repellent treatment are free from harmful fluorocarbons. High functionality does not always have to come at the expense of nature. Care instructions
- Airing clothes instead of washing them saves water and energy and prolongs the life of the garment. Be careful to wash your shell if it has been used in salt water or has become very sweaty or dirty, as this will weaken the performance of the garment. This can reduce the breathability of the fabric and damage the water repellent surface. The dirt can even allow moisture to seep through the fabric.
- Use our wash bag to protect your clothes and prevent fibers from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure you clean it and throw the lint in the garbage can. Never rinse it in water as we don't want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
- Machine wash cold
- There are special detergents for shells, but mild detergents certified as environmentally friendly work just as well. Use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. Not only is it harmful to our environment, it also has a negative impact on the performance of clothing, especially moisture wicking and breathability.
- Hang the shell out to dry. Just remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric. Use a drying cabinet, a dryer or an iron. Make sure that the heat is well dosed so that the garment does not melt.
- You can reapply or reinforce the water repellent treatment with a wash or spray if necessary. Always use an organic DWR: You can find both a spray and a wash-in in the webshop or in our stores.
- Remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water-repellent surface of the fabric.

How to measure
- 1. Sleeve length:The distance from top of shoulder joint to arm wrist. Angle the arm slightly and pass the tape through the elbow as well.
- 2. Chest:Measure the circumference at the widest part of the chest (under the armpits)
- 3. Waist:Measured the waist circumference below the navel. The measuring tape should not constrict the belly keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- 4. Hips:Measure the hips circumference at the fullest part of the seat keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
