Lenses: Amplifier and LS

Shield, Faze II and Unlimited II OTG have Amplifier lenses which, according to Scott, enhance contrast in snow. LS lenses tint themselves to match the light, from category S1 to S3 or S2 to S4 depending on the model. One goggle for sun and fog? Then go for LS.

Helmets: Plus means Mips

On the ski helmets, “Plus” stands for Mips, a low-friction layer against rotational forces in angled falls. Track Plus, Chase 2 Plus and Symbol 2 Plus have it, Track and Chase 2 do not. Fit still matters more: with the RAS Fit System you adjust the helmet to your head.

The right size

Scott ski helmets are sized by head circumference: S for 51 to 55 cm, M for 55 to 59 cm, L for 59 to 61 cm. Touring boots use Mondopoint, where the size is your foot length in centimetres. 27.0 means 27 cm, which corresponds to EU 42.

Scott All Mountain in a short film

A film of just over half a minute on Scott's new all-mountain collection, with first tracks in fresh snow in the morning. According to Scott, it is made for everyone who wants to leave the groomed piste for terrain away from the marked runs.

Frequently asked questions

Are there Scott ski goggles for glasses wearers?

Yes, the OTG models. OTG stands for “Over The Glasses”: Unlimited II OTG and Sphere OTG have room for prescription glasses underneath.

Can I change the lens?

Replacement lenses are available separately for many models, such as Shield, Factor and Unlimited II OTG. The Shield + Extra Lens comes with a second category 1 lens for flat light.

Patrol E2 or Patrol E2 Kit?

The kit includes the Alpride E2 airbag system. The Patrol E2 without the kit is prepared for it, but the system is not included.

Which Cosmos is right for me?

The three touring boots differ mainly in stiffness: Cosmos with flex 110, Cosmos Tour with 120, Cosmos Pro with 130. The higher the value, the stiffer the boot on the descent.

How waterproof are Scott's ski trousers?

It depends on the line. According to Scott, the Ultimate DRX has a hydrostatic head of 20,000 mm, the Explorair 3L 15,000 mm and the Ultimate Dryo 10 10,000 mm.
