Reusch
With tradition and know-how to success
What is now one of the most successful sports glove manufacturers in the world began more than 80 years ago in a small attic in Metzingen near Stuttgart. Here Karl Reusch sewed his first glove in 1934, at that time still by hand. The company grew and developed over the next decades. When son Gebhard Reusch took over the business in 1972, he brought the first collection of winter gloves onto the market, which also met the demands of alpine athletes. By the 1980s, Reusch was already the global market leader for sports gloves.
Another milestone was the cooperation with Sepp Maier. Together with the German goalkeeping legend, Reusch developed the first goalkeeping glove in history in 1973. One year later, Maier became football world champion wearing Reusch gloves.
To this day, Reusch concentrates on its two core competences: winter sports gloves and goalkeeper gloves. With the know-how from more than 80 years of experience, Reusch is the official partner of several ski associations, such as Swiss Ski, Austria Ski Pool and the US Ski Team. Today, the company has its headquarters in Bolzano, Italy.
Protection and warmth
Winter sports gloves should be able to do one thing above all: keep your hands warm and dry. That's why Reusch gloves are insulated with Primaloft, for example, and equipped with a wind- and waterproof Gore-Tex membrane that is also breathable.
Innovative technologies such as the intelligent Heating Pockets ensure particularly warm hands. These are located deep inside the glove between two insulating layers and offer space for external heating pads. The Heating Pads from Reusch keep you warm for 8 hours. The so-called Thermohoods made of Dryfleece and the three-dimensionally woven Triple Weave Fabric keep the fingertips in mittens cuddly warm.
For racers there are special Race Tec gloves with features like Ground Control, Pro Flex and 3D Cut. Protective elements and padding on the thumb, wrist and backhand provide additional safety.
Reusch Matadors
For those who want to be equipped like the professionals, the Matadors series is just right. For this line, Reusch works together with top athletes from alpine racing. The (ex-) ski pros Marcel Hirscher, Alexis Pinturault, Henrik Kristoffersen, Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, Anna Veith and Lara Gut are decisively involved in the design and development of their own collection as well as in the production process. In this way they give their own gloves a very personal touch. Of course, the Signature Gloves are also tested by their celebrity godparents themselves.
