The Sulfur WS from Tecnica is the ideal companion for women who don't want to compromise on both hiking and climbing. This versatile approach shoe combines the precision of a climbing shoe with the comfort of a hiking shoe and was developed in collaboration with experienced mountain guides to meet the requirements of demanding outdooractivities.
Thanks to the innovative AST technology, the Sulfur WS adapts perfectly to any foot shape and offers optimum support on demanding tours. The Gore-Tex® membrane ensures waterproofness and breathability, while the anatomically shaped Ortholite® footbed provides long-lasting comfort. The Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole offers unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces and is equipped with a special climbing zone for increased precision and power on steep rock faces.
A special highlight is the ARCH GRIP under the arch of the foot, which provides additional grip on slippery surfaces. The Edge Frame technology and the Climbing Zone at the tip of the sole make the Sulfur WS the perfect choice for via ferratas and challenging approaches. The midsole with different densities offers optimal cushioning and ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe, making longer hikes more comfortable
The Sulfur WS is also equipped with a practical back loop, which makes it easier to put onand take off and attach to a rucksack or climbing harness. Another advantage is the option of re-soling as part of the VibramRepair If You Care project, which underlines the longevity and sustainability of the shoe

ARCH GRIP: In the middle of the outsole, under the arch of the foot, is the rubber arch grip. It gives the shoe additional technical performance. The special shape of its "teeth" ensures better grip on slippery edges and raised edges as well as on via ferrata rungs and ladders.
CLIMBING ZONE: At the toe, the outsole has a flat climbing zone. This special climbing feature provides increased precision as well as toe and edge power on slabs, ledges and edges, making it the perfect choice for steeper rock faces.
BACKLOOP: The small loop makes it easier to put on and take off the shoes and also allows them to be attached to a rucksack or climbing harness.
ORTHOLITE® FOOTBED: The anatomically shaped Ortholite® footbed is highly breathable and offers outstanding comfort and long-lasting performance.
VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP™ OUTSOLE: The Vibram® Megagrip sole is made from a compound that offers unparalleled grip on dry and wet surfaces. This compound is also the best in its class in terms of durability and ground adaptation.

CLIMBING PRECISION
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-molded thermoplastic inserts and an Ortholite footbed, AST - Adaptive Shape Technology - adapts the Sulfur precisely to any foot shape. The Sulfur is built around an anatomical last and is equipped with Edge Frame technology and a Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole with climbing zone, which significantly improves climbing performance.
CLIMBING PERFORMANCE MEETS HIKING WALKABILITY
The Edge Frame plate placed above the midsole provides stiffness and support when climbing, yet allows the shoe to flex freely when walking. The result: Climbing performance meets hiking walking function. The longitudinal elements promote stiffness and torsional stability in the toe and midfoot area. The crossed cut-out arrangements allow more flexibility in the midfoot area.
HIKING COMFORT
The midsole consists of two different densities. The softer EVA component at the heel provides cushioning and ground adaptation to ensure optimal walking comfort. The midsole and outsole are equipped with a forward-facing sole profile to enable a smoother transition from the heel to the toes and thus longer hiking with greater comfort.
