At the heart of this boot is Tecnica's exclusive AST technology, which ensures a precise fit. The GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane provides durable, waterproof and breathable protection to keep your feet dry and comfortable all day long. This is complemented by the anatomically shaped Ortholite® footbed, which ensures superior comfort and long-lasting performance.
The Sulfur WS is equipped with the VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP™ outsole, which offers unparalleled grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The special CLIMBING ZONE at the tip of the sole enables increased precision and edge power on ledges and via ferratas. The ARCH GRIP in the center of the outsole provides additional grip and technical performance, ideal for slippery edges and climbs. A practical BACKLOOP makes it easier to put onand take off and allows you to attach it to your backpack or climbing harness.

ARCH GRIP: In the middle of the outsole, under the arch of the foot, is the rubber arch grip. It gives the shoe additional technical performance. The special shape of its "teeth" ensures better grip on slippery edges and raised edges as well as on via ferrata rungs and ladders.
CLIMBING ZONE: The outsole has a flat climbing zone at the toe. This special climbing feature ensures increased precision as well as toe and edge strength on slabs, ledges and edges, making them the perfect choice for steeper rock faces.
BACKLOOP: The small loop makes it easier to put on and take off the shoes and also allows them to be attached to a rucksack or climbing harness.
ORTHOLITE® FOOTBED: The anatomically shaped Ortholite® footbed is highly breathable and offers superior comfort and long-lasting performance.
GORE-TEX® EXTENDED COMFORT LINING: The Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort membrane offers durable waterproof and breathable weather protection and ensures that your feet stay dry and comfortable all day and all year round.
VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP™ OUTSOLE: The Vibram® Megagrip sole is made from a compound that offers unparalleled grip on dry and wet surfaces. This compound is also the best in its class in terms of durability and ground adaptation.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

CLIMBING PRECISION
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-molded thermoplastic inserts and an Ortholite footbed, the AST - Adaptive Shape Technology - adapts the Sulfur precisely to any foot shape. The Sulfur is built around an anatomical last and is equipped with Edge Frame technology and a Vibram®Megagrip™ outsole with climbing zone, which significantly improves climbing performance.
CLIMBING PERFORMANCE MEETS HIKING WALKABILITY
The Edge Frame plate placed above the midsole provides rigidity and support when climbing, while still allowing the shoe to flex freely when walking. The result: Climbing performance meets hiking walking function. The longitudinal elements promote stiffness and torsional stability in the toe and midfoot area. The crossed cut-out arrangements allow more flexibility in the midfoot area.
HIKING COMFORT
The midsole consists of two different densities. The softer EVA component at the heel provides cushioning and ground adaptation to ensure optimal walking comfort. The midsole and outsole are equipped with a forward-facing sole profile to enable a smoother transition from the heel to the toes and thus longer walking with greater comfort.
