An outstanding feature of the Sulfur Mid GTX MS is the ARCH GRIP technology, which is placed in the middle of the outsole and ensures optimum grip on slippery edges and via ferrata rungs thanks to the special shape of its "teeth". This is complemented by the CLIMBING ZONE at the tip of the sole, which ensures increased precision and power on ledges and edges. Thanks to the VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP™ sole, the shoe offers unparalleled grip on dry and wet surfaces, making it the perfect choice for steeper rock faces.
The Adaptive Shape Technology (AST) adapts the shoe precisely to any foot shape and, together with the anatomically shaped Ortholite® footbed, ensures superior comfort and long-lasting performance. The dual-density midsole provides cushioning and ground adaptation, while the forward-facing sole profile enables a smooth transition from heel to toe, supporting longer hikes with greater comfort
With Edge Frame technology, which provides stiffness and support for climbing while still allowing the shoe to flex freely when walking, the Sulfur Mid GTX MS combines climbing performance with hiking walking function. The BACKLOOPloop makes it easier to put onand take off and allows you to attach it to your rucksack or climbing harness. - ARCH GRIP: In the middle of the outsole, under the arch of the foot, is the rubber arch grip. It gives the shoe additional technical performance. The special shape of its "teeth" ensures better grip on slippery edges and raised edges as well as on via ferrata rungs and ladders.

CLIMBING PRECISION
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-molded thermoplastic inserts and an Ortholite footbed, the AST - Adaptive Shape Technology - adapts the Sulfur precisely to any foot shape. The Sulfur is built around an anatomical last and is equipped with Edge Frame technology and a Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole with climbing zone, which significantly improves climbing performance.CLIMBING PERFORMANCE MEETS HIKING WALKABILITY
The Edge Frame plate placed above the midsole provides stiffness and support when climbing, yet allows the shoe to flex freely when walking. The result: Climbing performance meets hiking walking function. The longitudinal elements promote stiffness and torsional stability in the toe and midfoot area. The crossed cut-out arrangements allow more flexibility in the midfoot area.HIKING COMFORT
The midsole consists of two different densities. The softer EVA component at the heel provides cushioning and ground adaptation to ensure optimal walking comfort. The midsole and outsole are equipped with a forward-facing sole profile to enable a smoother transition from the heel to the toes and thus longer hiking with greater comfort.
