The Spark Speed S GTX from Tecnica is the ideal choice for anyone who doesn't want to compromise when hiking, trekking, or speed hiking. This unisex shoe stands out for its sturdy construction and numerous technical features that offer maximum comfort and protection. The upper is reinforced with a TPU film laminated to the nylon mesh to increase durability in high-stress areas such as the heel and toe cap.
Thanks to the GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit membrane, your feet stay dry and comfortable in any weather. The Vibram® Megagrip™ sole provides unmatched traction on wet and dry surfaces, while the Ortholite® footbed impresses with its breathable and comfortable cushioning. The EVA Exoshell construction provides additional protection for the foot against rocks and debris.
Tecnica’s Impulso technology combines a high-rebound EVA midsole with a Pebax® foam plate to provide dynamic and responsive cushioning. The shoe offers a specific fit for fast hikers and, with its stable foot support and V-shaped ESS plate, provides enhanced torsional stability, which minimizes the risk of ankle injuries.

TOE BUMPER AND UPPER TPU FILM: The upper of the shoe is protected by a layer of TPU film laminated to the polyamide mesh to provide extra durability in critical areas such as the heel, toe cap and medial and lateral zones.

SPECIFIC FAST HIKING SPORTY FIT
The Agate Speed was developed around an activity-specific anatomical last to meet the ergonomic and biometric requirements of fast hikers. In addition, the Agate Speed is carefully adapted to the more triangular shape, low volume and narrower heel bone of women's feet. The shoe has a moderately snug and agile fit to meet the requirements of sportier, more demanding speed hiking.
STABLE FOOT SUPPORT
The Pebax® foam plate of the Impulso technology sits in a balanced EVA midsole geometry, providing a lightweight, durable base that supports the foot during intense fast hiking and maintains the lateral stability of the shoe during fast downhill movements or on uneven terrain. Furthermore, the V-shaped ESS plate at the midfoot provides greater torsional stability and helps to prevent ankle injuries.
RESPONSIVE CUSHIONING
The midsole area features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso technology, which combines the benefits of a high-rebound EVA midsole and a full-length Pebax® foam plate in the midfoot and forefoot. The result is a dynamic and propulsive gait with balanced cushioning, agile performance with a smooth and fast transition and a reactive toe-off on the hard climb to the summit.
