"The Sea to Summit XPEL Valve was the first valve designed specifically for self-inflating sleeping pads. It integrates a one-way inflation port, deflation port and fine adjustment knob into a single, low-profile unit. The ingenious thing about the XPEL Valve is that the valve is inverted to deflate the sleeping pad. This turns the one-way inflation valve into a one-way deflation valve, which prevents the mat from filling with air when it is rolled up. The XPEL valve fits onto the connection of an Airstream pump bag (sold separately) if you want to "inflate" your self-inflating mat, which can also be done manually."EXTRUSION LAMINATION
