The Rapid XT Mid GTX from Scarpa is the ideal companion for men who like to be out and about on challenging trails. This mid-height approach shoe, made from high-quality Gore-Tex® material, offers excellent protection from the wet and is therefore perfect for hiking, via ferrata and longer trekking tours. The waterproof construction and protective gaiter at the cuff ensure that your feet stay dry and comfortable even in unexpected weather conditions.
Particularly noteworthy is the grippy sole profile, which, in combination with the precise lacing system and the ergonomic ASRAXM last, ensures a secure hold and optimum comfort. The Rapid XT Mid GTX is not only designed for technical approaches, but also masters the easiest climbs with flying colors. The all-round scree protection rand offers additional protection and stability, while the EVA midsole provides pleasant cushioning.
The mid-cut shaft height and heel heel enable excellent performance when descending scree, so you can concentrate on your adventures without having to worry about your equipment. Materials:

External material: The leather upper is abrasion-resistant thanks to the all-round TPU band and the rubber toe cap. The overall construction is characterized by a good balance between protection, comfort and low weight. 3D ankle padding for comfort and protection
Chuck: The sustainable Gore-Tex ePE membrane is lightweight, thin yet strong and makes the product waterproof and breathable. The PFAS-free laminate, including the DWR (durable water repellent) treatment, demonstrates the commitment to a responsible approach

Outsole:

The Agility XT is a Vibram MegaGrip sole with a climbing zone in the toe area. A 3D TPU insert in the medial area ensures stability and high grip on traverses. The 3.5 mm deep profile combines sensitivity and durability for any type of approach.

Upper construction system developed by SCARPA to better protect and support the foot. Lateral protection devices (inserts or heat embossing) are combined here with the upper materialeral and thus together form an exoskeleton.
