Salewa SET VIA Ferrata Ergo Zip - Via ferrata gear

The history of the Dolomites’ via ferratas goes back a long way: Many of today’s restored routes were built during World War I as supply routes. The Dolomites not only boast countless spectacular via ferrata routes but also allow via ferrata enthusiasts to delve deep into history. To conquer these iron paths, we designed the Ergo Zip via ferrata set, which is synonymous with ideal handling and freedom of movement. The innovative retractable mechanism continuously adapts to your movements and keeps the static lanyards at an optimal length at all times, which in turn allows for close-to-the-body handling as well as easy clipping and repositioning of the carabiners. In addition, the retractable mechanism prevents the formation of dangerous loops in which you could get tangled. This is particularly important for safety when traversing on foot. The ergonomic Ergotec 3.0 carabiners fit comfortably in your hand—and are easy to operate even while wearing gloves. Thanks to the extra-large opening, the carabiners can be quickly and safely clipped onto and unclipped from the wire rope without the risk of pinching your fingers between the wire rope and the gate. The automatic carabiner lock prevents accidental opening. And if you ever need a quick break, you can easily clip into the via ferrata route using the integrated locking loop on the lanyard. The via ferrata set attaches to your harness via Salewa’s new, patented, and elastic attachment loop. Our ultra-compact Via Ferrata Ergo Zip Set offers ideal handling and is your perfect companion on both easy and challenging via ferrata routes.
