To conquer these iron paths, we have designed the Ergo Zip via ferrata set, which stands for ideal handling and freedom of movement. The innovative roll-up mechanism continuously adapts to your movement and keeps the static load arms at an optimum length at all times, which in turn allows for close-to-the-body handling and ideal insertion and reattachment of the carabiners.
In addition, the roll-up mechanism means there are no dangerous loops to get tangled up in. This is particularly important for safety when walking. The ergonomic Ergotec 3.0 carabiners sit comfortably in the hand and are easy to use even when wearing gloves. Thanks to the extra-large opening, the carabiners can be quickly and safely attached to and detached from the wire rope without the risk of getting your fingers caught between the wire rope and gate. Unintentional opening is prevented by the automatic carabinerlocking mechanism.
If you need to take a short break, you can simply clip into the via ferrata using the integrated latching loop on the shock absorber. The via ferrata set is attached to the harness via Salewa's new, patented and elasticated tie-in loop.
