The synthetic fibers are further enhanced with Salewa’s patented Responsive technology. Responsive is based on a special blend of natural, thermoreactive minerals that recycle the body’s far-infrared (FIR) energy and gradually release it back into the body. This ensures better performance and faster recovery, while keeping you warm longer. These benefits last for the entire lifespan of the fabric, as Responsive is an integral part of the fiber and does not wash out. Innovative knitting process. The Cristallo features a close-fitting cut with a crew neck and a sleeve design with an integrated gusset for greater freedom of movement. It is manufactured using a special knitting process in which a superfine, 19-micron merino wool yarn is spun around a nylon core. This process not only makes the fiber stronger, fluffier, and more voluminous, but also 30% lighter than a comparable base layer fiber. The high polyamide content further improves durability and mechanical stretch properties. Our innovative knitting process allows us to produce a one-piece torso panel without any distracting seams, ensuring maximum comfort.
